After Market Remote Starter?

1151 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  kpayton
I purchased my 22 Venue (the middle model, can’t remember the name of the trim) in June and it didn’t not come with blue link compability. I called the dealership about having a remote starter installed and they said that they don’t have any parts they can order, nor can they install blue link into the car.

Is there anyway to have a remote starter installed at this point? Would it void any warranties on the car since it’s new? It’s a key, not a push to start so I’m striking out for information. The cold winter

Hyundai has a remote start unit available, part # K2F57 AC000

it's made to use the factory plugs in the Venue. I'm sure there are also local shops that can supply aftermarket models.

Will installing this void any warranties I have from the manufacturer?

The Hyundai one won't, especially if you get the dealer to install it. Properly installed, I don't think the aftermarket model would void the warranty, but best to consult the dealer on that.
Here is the Hyundai installation manual:
Just a word of advice on factory controlled ones. Not sure that you will get the range of an aftermarket ones. On the "Limited" models they have a cellular connection I believe to do the remote start but assuming the one stated above is just remote driven. I added a remote start to mine (aftermarket), Not sure if it would void warranties or not but I can remote start mine 1/4 mile away. Granted Ive never had to use it that far but I wanted something that had a good amount of range on it. Be Careful taking your car in for service. I know Kia and Hyundai (I think) has the whole key fob issue where our cars are stealable. Im going to tell them not to do any firmware updates when my car does go in for service. If they do itll likely brick my remote start.

FWIW I have a '22 Hyundai Venue SEL. I believe the models are SE, SEL and Limited. So I think yours falls into the SEL catagory.
