Block heater cord

I realized, when I got to work, that I didn't unplug the block heater cord. Called the caretaker and it was in my parking spot so at least I didn't drag it off down the lane. But now I'm wondering if it may have disconnected internally.
In my defence - it's dark out in the morning and I was removing/folding up the windshield frost cover and scrapping side windows etc... I never ever ever drove off with my regular extension cord on the old car.

I wouldn't think it would've disconnected internally as long as the port is intact. The cord simply pulled out of the port I imagine.

Yeah it felt pretty secure - all good - thanks

I too have a block heater and there isn't a good place to put the cord from the heater through an opening at the grill [my Venue is an Ultimate] so I figure I'll just open the hood and close the hood on it cause it will lay between the hood and the weather striping with the hood closed on it...I should have ordered the one that has a covered plug end that is attached to the outside of the grill.

did you do the same with your heater cord?

I have the attached covered plug and it's already earned it's keep! I keep the cord in my trunk when not in use. While I've never had an extension cord stolen, this would be an expensive replacement so...
