Bluelink is free for 3 years right after purchasing your car (top/denim trim only).
There are 3 Bluelink packages: Connected Care, Remote, and Guidance.
The picture above shows a summary of what each package can do for you.
After the 3 year freebie, each package costs about $99 per year in the USA.

Personal Synopsis:
Honestly, I think I would only keep the Remote Package, because I use it the most.
Sometimes, I forget whether I locked the car, or not so this feature locks it for me remotely although it has limitation if there is no signal.
The stolen vehicle feature is nice, too. Like, the GPS shows you where your car is, and the car itself can be immobilized.
The other 2 services are non-existent for me.

The Guidance Package is only helpful when driving and inputting an address via voice command. On-board navigation doesn't let you enter an address via keypad while driving.

The Connected Care Package is nice, but I take my car for maintenance twice a year regardless so I hear the maintenance reports from the service tech themselves.
I don't use roadside assistance, because I got my own AAA membership.

What do you guys think?

Give me remote, or give me death!
Remote start with climate control is by far the best feature bluelink has to offer.

Since you asked for a debate, I'll toss in my two cents.

I'm an old-school kind of guy. I've never owned a car with an automatic transmission. I would take crank windows and manual door locks if I could still get them. My motto is, the fewer gizmos, the fewer things that can go wrong. I know that I am swimming against the tide on this, but I always buy the bottom-of-the-line model of whatever car I'm driving. I certainly don't need no stinking remote start capability! Just one geezer's humble opinion.

That said, I do love the backup camera. To me, that's not a luxury, that's a necessity.

Remote start is great because you can scare people who are too near your car :devilish:

There will be a time when people are gonna be so dependent on technology that there will be a drawback to it.

Remember Skynet!!
Remember Skynet!!
lol. If skynet goes down, I doubt we will be worried about our auto features...but to get into a cool car in the summertime or a warm car in the winter is worth the risk.
Just ask the honda guys I know, they are jelly bellies when I show them I can set the temp with my phone on startup.

Newer Honda Bros have the HondaLink™ to remote start with climate control their cars.

The only drawback is that their car turns off upon opening of their doors. So they have to start it again once they "officially" enter the vehicle.
This is done to prevent thefts. Same with Toyota and Lexus.
Besides warming up the car and using the AC, like why bother starting remotely if you are going to start it again?

Weird Feature to the point that I did not want to buy a Rav4 just because of the remote start botchery.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Active for hiking use.
The watch doesn't seem to have the BlueLink App compatibility.
I have emailed Blue Link about it.

It is a shame that I was able to find Lexus, Toyota, and Kia remote apps on the smartwatch, but not Hyundai.
Is a plus for some people like me, always in a rush and cant remember if I locked the doors or not :) 50/50 I forget to lock :). It is also nice for the winter for me because I must of the time park few blocks from home and I like it to be nice and warm when I get to the car :p and last if you get towed (bad experience) it will tell you that you are getting towed away hahahaha

The towing part is interesting.
Can you elaborate?
It is for Down Town Los Angeles Purposes. :ROFLMAO:

Well im in NY, I fought the ticket I was given by the police because it actually say "blocking driveway by an inch" ridiculous. The tow truck broke my door when he opened to put it in neutral because the owner called the worst company in town with 0 stars reviews lol. At the end I stop by to fight with him and the idiot screams that he knows my car and he will break it next time he see it, I told him that I know where he lives and I love to light stuff on fire. Long story short his house when on sale a week after. Bluelink send me a notification that my car is being towed and the door was forced something like that.

Breaking into your car sounds super illegal even for towing purposes unless he got the permission from the cop, or something.

I can understand why bluelink lets us know if there is a break-in, but the towing part caught me off guard. (in a good way)
Hopefully, It doesn't happen to me. 🙏

Since I bought an SE, I don't have Bluelink. But I don't quite use all the technology my SE offers. I don't miss Bluelink at all, and I try to avoid all monthly fee services as much as possible!

Yea, if you don't need a service is always better to avoid the extra payment, the street is my parking space and thats why I find it super useful to me. Also, I have a camera that notifies me when someone hits me or gets too close ( depending how its setup) and have an internet hub plug into the OSB port that also sends notifications that I use to keep the camera online ( those are extra )
Bluelink got updated with a new interface.
It also shows the real-time miles/fuel left, which is neat.
My problem with bluelink is I spent 2 hours on the phone before I found out it is $300 per year to renew. I got this email, clicked on the link and thought it was $48.82 per year for each, only to find out their yearly subscription ends in 6 months. How does a YEARLY subscription end in 6 months?? Oh and not mention I was cut off from them twice. This is the mountain I guess I am going to die on and I am getting back into the 1978 time machine. The email link was totally misleading and just down right wrong! I am however going to waste more of my time taking my complaint as far as it will go up the corporate ladder. I love my Tuscon and will be trading it off in a few months, but it will not be with Hyundai.

Yea Hyundai in general are super nice people but when it comes to fixing a problems they dont even want to know, will be trading too,
The Bluelink renewal fees seems like a great incentive to trade in the Venue at 3 years. Crafty bunch, those Hyundai execs!
I'll probably keep the car for at least 6 years to get my money's worth, or just keep it as a daily and have a secondary recreational vehicle.
I really want an AWD/4WD truck 😭
