I agree, sounds like a DIY would do.

I assume that quote is from a Hyundai dealer? Another option is to contact a non-dealer service center, like a Firestone or Duxler or whatever they have in your neck of the woods.

I got a Wix brand (great brand in filtration) cabin air filter off Rock Auto for 8 bucks. I also ordered high quality winter wiper blades for like 10.

It's easy to install. Remove all junk from glove compartment and push in on sides to drop it down. Then a small tab will open the filter door. Make sure you orient new filter correctly for proper airflow. Then it's a good chance to organize junk in glove compartment as you put everything back in.
