Canadian Ultimate edition in denim

Hi everyone, happy to have found this community. I've been driving Hyundai since 2009 (Sonata & Elantra) and wanted to stick with the marque due to the great reliability I've experienced.

After considering the Kona, I decided to go for the Venue Ultimate. Intense Blue was my first choice but it would have to be factory ordered. The dealership was able to bring in an ultimate in denim with the denim interior so I snapped it up.

Loving the slightly boxy design, like a smaller version of the Palisade. Getting in and out is much easier than my Elantra. The car has more than enough pep and is fun to drive. My spouse insisted upon a sunroof so no white roof on this denim.

I've had my Fiery Red Ultimate for a couple of weeks now and loving it. Like you, my first choice was a Kona but after a very IVT & road-noisy test drive, I put that option on hold. I'd first discounted the Venue based on all the reviews & was expecting a noisy econobox. When I finally did a test drive, what a revelation. It's no noisier than the 2015 Honda FIT I traded in and the CVT/IVT experience is about the same and in my opinion, much quieter than the Kona. I was able to pick up the fully loaded Ultimate for about the same price as a Kona Preferred. WRT to ease of entry & exit, that was part of my decision to buy another vehicle. I just got tired of heaving myself out of the FIT. The only downside is now I'm having a bit of a struggle getting my road bike into the cargo hold as the Venue's a bit shorter than the FIT. I refer to my Venue as a Baby Kona.
I like this “Ultimate” fluff. We don’t get that treatment in America, but I kinda thought he was ultimate when I got a look at my denim.

Welcome and congrats on the new digs!
That grill is going to make a certain dude on here very jelly.

Congratulations! By any chance, are you able to obtain the part number for that front grille? Your southern neighbors in the US have been eyeing that grille for a minute!

I didn't realize until now that that grill isn't available in the USA. Looks very much like a baby Palisade with it. Sorry, I can't a part number.

The grass is always greener on the other side. lol. Probably lots of people in Canada with the grille you have would rather have the American gaudy 1950s chrome one. lol. I like all the grille styles -- all 3 I've seen so far. I have the SEL so I have the chrome one which is cool.

Congrats on the Venue purchase. I love that shade of blue. I have Intense Blue myself but the Denim Blue is more to my liking. I also considered the Kona but went with Venue for several reasons:

A. Venue was $3k or something cheaper
B. Venue has better fuel mileage
C. Kona is kinda ugly. I like the front, but the rest of it is blah. I LOVE the upright boxy Venue shape.
D. Once you go SUV/crossover, you never go back to a sedan -- way too low and hard to get in/out, less cargo space too in a sedan, and a sedan is not as good in bad weather.

That grille gives me Mercedes Vibes.
Just my first impressions when I saw these grilles.

I second that request for the grille part number.

And I'd also like to put in a request to our Canadian friends for the part number for the interior light between the sun visors (shown here: Adding Armrest to your VENUE SE, SEL or Essential).
For some reason, we didn't get that in the USA. 😒
Well, looks like we have high jacked another new guy thread. 🤣
The more I look at that grill, the more I want it too! Just got off the phone with a dude in Hyundai parts. He said we could get the part number from a Canadian dealership…time to make some international calls, or maybe we could get our new owners up North to help us out perhaps? 🤔

Wait, I have the front interior map light for my SEL!

You could probably just email a Canadian Hyundai dealership's parts department and tell them you're in USA and want to order the grille then pay via PayPal. S/H will probably be $50 at least though on top of the price.
Mochi, I have the SEL with convenience package and I have those lights. Perhaps the convenience package is required on the SEL to get those lights as that panel also has the buttons to operate the "sun roof".

You must mean the premium package?

USA
I think for 2020 Venue, you had to have the SEL convenience and premium packages to get the sunroof.
For the 2021 Venue, the SEL had the sunroof as standard, but the premium was still an add-on.
For the 2022 Venue, I believe they are deleting the convenience and premium packages, and making them standard on the SEL. The standard features are just baked-in to the actual price so you don't necessarily pay less.

Give us the CANADIAN ULTIMATE GRILLE, OR ELSE! 🤬 :devilish:

On it! Left a couple of request yesterday on dealer websites in Toronto. Unfortunately my cell does not do international calls. Might try at work today and see what kind of phone package we have. 😉
Honestly the us grill is a better pair with the stock sel wheels, but for the wheels I have in mind next spring, that other grill would look badazz. I am of the opinion that when selecting wheel patterns/finishes, it’s all about the grill.
Put me down for group buy Mochi!
Justin, yes premium package, thank you for the correction!
