Finally got a real MPG figure.

I didn't pay attention to the vehicles computer and wrote the mileage and gallons used down myself. 50/50 city & interstate driving. I drove 255 miles and used 9.1 gallons of gas. That's a shade over 28 mpg. So I think that's pretty much what I should get with less than 1,000 miles driven.

Not bad. My "real" MPG is about 18 in pure city driving, and about 42 in pure highway driving. At 50/50 mix, that would come to 30 on average, not far from yours. This is with the six-speed manual.

Seems pretty good. I find the car calculation is pretty close. I tend to keep the display on drive info, it gives a good representation of fuel economy on each trip. It resets after the engine is stopped for 4 hours so it's handy on a multi stop trip.
1 thing I really didn't like when driving on the interstate was the tugging of the steering whenever I would drift to the left. The vehicle was bought mainly for city driving and never noticed it before. I thought the ride was comfortable and it does handle great. Also I found the engine had more than enough power.
That's one self driving feature that takes some getting used to. It's hard to trust the car to do the driving while you keep a supervisory hold on the wheel and let it do its work. Just when you do give it some trust, the car will decide to follow the right side line and veer off on an off ramp and you need to turn it to go straight. It can be shut off if you don't like it but once you learn the feel and limitations, it can make highway driving less work.

MPG is like clockwork in this car. With a mix, I have been between 28-30 for so long I quit calculating. It’s when you stay at highway speeds for long periods things get silly.
I have manually calculated over 40mpg in those situations.
Yes, the Lane Keep Assist takes some getting used to, and I nearly turned it off. But now I kinda like it. Just be sure that you use your signals for lane changes so it will leave you alone.

This little car seems to sweet spot at 60-80 km/hr driving. This is from a short drive we do often to pick up our grandson and drop him off. I usually drive the whole route at the speed limit with the cruise on. Speed limits range from 50-80 km/hr but is mostly a mix of 60-80 km/hr.
5.0 l/100km = 47.04 mpg.

First time driving this same loop after having the IVT software update applied, Drive Info recorded 4.7 L/100km. (50.05 mpg). A few more trips will confirm if the improvement came from the IVT update or other factors.
I tend to get 4.7 - 5.1 l/100km only on highway driving 80-110km/hr. For short in the city trips 40-90km/hr it works out to 7-8l/100km because of starting and stopping more frequent. Also found in the winter -10c to -40c was higher for both.
