I currently only have 3,000 miles on my 2020 SEL Venue, mainly due to the virus.
I plan to have the oil changed today, as I have had the car for over five months.
The recommended first oil change per Hyundai is at 7,500 miles (also covered under the 3 Year Maint. Program).
I don't feel comfortable waiting that long for the first oil change.
How do other owners feel / or when did you first change your oil?

I drive very little, virus or no virus. I got my Venue in November, and it is approaching 2000 miles now. I figured ten months was long enough to go before the first oil change and inspection! So I had it done today. The technician recommended that, give my low mileage usage, I get the oil and etc. taken care of once per year.

Also note: he said that Venues require all synthetic oil, so it costs a bit more than average. I bought mine before the no-cost maintenance program kicked in (but also before the price went up several hundred bucks!)

Thanks for your feedback. I was not aware it requires synthetic oil. If anyone needs the HyundaI Oil Filter part number, it is 26350-2M000. I had to call the local Hyundai dealer, as the 2020 Venue is not yet on the parts database.

Really? It requires synthetic oil? 😲 Wow - I better check into that! I bought my car with 2500km on it (got a deal on the demo) My oil change sticker in the windshield says oil change at 6000km or December/20 which is 6 months from when I bought it. I don't drive much so I usually go by the mileage as opposed to the date, however, I do occasionally check the oil level now and then. If it comes out full enough and oil appears clean - screw it - I wait!! Never had a problem doing it that way.
