just installed these on wife's Venue, I've always driven pickups and they always have either gas shocks or simply built-in springs to keep the hood up without the use of prop rods (which I've always somewhat detested)

In three years, I've never opened my Venue's hood! I'm not even sure how you do it. I assume the mechanics do at my annual oil changes, but that's not my problem!

I see your point, I've only opened my hood a few times to check the oil and fill the windshield washer fluid but when I do, I hate that prop rod.

Looks nice
I was just looking at something electric for the trunk.
It is a more expensive thing, but my mother has trouble closing it.
This is the only one I found for sale.
Has anyone tried something like this?
Or know of another type that can be purchased
