Getting my new Canadian Venue soon!!

Hello fellow Venue owners,

I ordered a 2022 Venue Preferred right before Christmas and got an email from Hyundai Canada last week with advising me that my car has arrived at the Port of Vancouver. (I'm in Ottawa). The VIN was also included in the email.

Did anyone else receive a similar email and how much longer did you wait?

The email also said:
"Please note that the ongoing global semi-conductor shortage and supply chain disruptions as a fallout from COVID 19 may affect the timing of vehicle arrival to your dealership."

Does this mean that the car was shipped without some microchips and the chips will be installed in Canada?

Bought my Preferred edition stock off the lot. So I'm afraid I can't help answer your question. But I can say it's nice to see another Canadian Venue owner on the board. I'm sure you'll love your car when you get it.
I got my Venue recently from the Lot at a Vancouver dealer. After doing a search got lucky and found one with the Manual Transmission that I wanted (the only one I could find 'In Stock' in the whole province) ; otherwise I was told I had to wait at least 90 days if I ordered from the factory; so is good yours is already at the Port; hopefully they get it to your location soon.

I'd say the e-mail statement is just a standard thing they put nowadays. I'd guess once the Car leaves the factory all Electronics are already installed (including Microchips); dealers usually prep the car for you once they get it at their lot from the shipping container and make sure all is in working condition before they deliver it to you.

For your peace of mind call the Hyundai Dealership that placed your vehicle order and ask them how much longer before they get it; they should know once is on it's way to Ottawa.
My Venue came with a Motorola 68000 CPU (Atari 2600, Apple II, Commodore) due to the chip shortage as a last minute replacement. I can play Combat, Pong, and Dig Dug on the infotainment screen.

I ordered mine on Jan. 26 and got an email as well on Feb. 11 saying..."As of February 7, 2022, your vehicle is expected to be built in March 2022 and is 9 in the priority sequence". and it also had the same notice that you got at the end of the email...Mine is an Ultimate model with the Denim option and the only other options I'm getting are dealer installed like mud guards and block heater so I imagine after it's made and shipped to Vancouver I'll get another email and with a little luck it'll probably be another 2 weeks and shipped by rail to Ontario and hopefully the train cars will be fully enclosed. I've been looking on Auto Trader and in Ontario dealers have upped the prices on the Venue by 2 to almost 4 grand more then I got mine for and I know my dealer said they will not gouge the prices.
