Yeah, you will love the Snow Mode. I am in extreme northern Ohio so just about a couple of hundred kilometers from Canada, so we get a lot of snow too. We live in an apartment complex, and they aren't very good at plowing after heavy snowfalls in this complex (don't plow until after like 10AM). I always made it through last winter even with like 30-35 centimeters of snow plus drift on top of that. I'd see a lot of neighbours in cars like the Corolla, Sentra, etc. struggle to just back up a few meters out of their parking spaces before not being able to go any further.
Then they struggle to pull forward again and go inside to call their bosses to say they wouldn't be in to work that day.

I specifically remember a Corolla from last winter struggling hardily to get out of her space and then to try to pull back into the space. I was trapped behind her for like 10 minutes.
My Venue in snow mode just went through it with ease. The higher ground clearance of a Venue paired with the IVT/snow mode makes a large difference. My daughter lives in the same complex, and doesn't drive, and I was amazed I was able to drive her to her work as a cashier at the local supermarket even on these super early mornings before the plows came out.
