Hello everyone, the missus and I just received our new new Fiery Red Venue on Wednesday. Got it after our Toyota Corolla was T boned by a young lady. Would have actually gone back to yoga, but they had nothing for at least 2 months and the salesman, well, he just didn’t seem to care lol. Hyundai was just around the corner and my wife fell in love with the venue, so here we are. Just topped 300km in it and quite impressed with pretty much everything so far. Got the preferred package, didn’t realize it had no Sirius radio, so hopefully we can change that (Only fault, so not bad).

Welcome. Venue is a great little SUV. I found snow mode to be awesome last winter. Just rolled over 10,000km with zero issues.

my first new vehicle in 20 years...it's my daily driver and all my daily drivers lasted 20+ years before getting a new one and usually after 20+ years of having a vehicle that lives outside in all 4 Canadian seasons 24-7, parts and repairs will dictate when the vehicle enters the "nickle and dime me to death life span" I then have to make a decision and then it's time for a new one and start the process over again...my new 20+ year daily driver Ultimate Venue might even out live me, I'm 75 and I've almost mastered all the settings in the vehicle...gone are the days when the only thing I had to set in my previous vehicles were what radio stations I would put on the radio buttons. 🤣
I love this vehicle!

Thanks. Dealer told us about snow mode, he has a Venue also. I’ll wait until winter to try it though lol.
Yeah, you will love the Snow Mode. I am in extreme northern Ohio so just about a couple of hundred kilometers from Canada, so we get a lot of snow too. We live in an apartment complex, and they aren't very good at plowing after heavy snowfalls in this complex (don't plow until after like 10AM). I always made it through last winter even with like 30-35 centimeters of snow plus drift on top of that. I'd see a lot of neighbours in cars like the Corolla, Sentra, etc. struggle to just back up a few meters out of their parking spaces before not being able to go any further.

Then they struggle to pull forward again and go inside to call their bosses to say they wouldn't be in to work that day. :( I specifically remember a Corolla from last winter struggling hardily to get out of her space and then to try to pull back into the space. I was trapped behind her for like 10 minutes.

My Venue in snow mode just went through it with ease. The higher ground clearance of a Venue paired with the IVT/snow mode makes a large difference. My daughter lives in the same complex, and doesn't drive, and I was amazed I was able to drive her to her work as a cashier at the local supermarket even on these super early mornings before the plows came out.

I hate to say this, but I'm looking forward to winter to try the snow mode 😂 and I like the height the Venue is...I looked under the spot where the oil filter and oil pan is on my Ultimate and I could actually change the oil and filter without having the car on ramps, but it would be much easier using ramps...many years ago back in the 70's, I had a VW Bug as a daily driver and it was great in snow till you got into too deep of snow and the car would get bottomed out on the snow but if it was as high as the Venue is it would have been okay.

Greetings, all! It's neat to see there's a whole community of Venue-luvin' folks gathered together :) I've traded my 2015 Elantra in for the 2023 Venue (in gorgeous white); the car is pre-ordered and supposed to arrive later this month. I'm so excited!
Kim (with special thanks to Philip for assisting with whatever weird tech glitch was hindering my registration :)
