when I plug in my thumb drive to play my music or play any other music other then the radio I get one of these images in my photos I'm posting and they will change any time they feel like it from one to the other, usually the image of the city or what I think is a cupboard [image 1 and 3] with a door open which I think it looks like to me...can I change them?

my Venue is a 22 ultimate.

I am guessing the media player is thinking that's the album art. Check to see if those jpg files are on your thumb drive.

no I'm almost sure that's not it...first of all it does it with Bluetooth which is separate from my thumb drives and when I play my music with thumb drives and Bluetooth the images follow a sequence and by that I mean that the first song played has image 2 then the next song has image 3 and the next image 1 and it repeats that sequence till the cows come home.

also what I did was take another thumb drive and format it, and put about a dozen songs from the same artist on it and it does the same and then I format it again, and put only 2 songs that were randomly picked that did not follow each other in the same way all my music does with each artist and still the same happens with the sequence of images...if it were something to do with jpg's on my thumb drives and my Bluetooth it would not just be these same 3 images following the same sequence every time, and I think image 2 is actually part of the infotainment system software because it looks like a design that the system would use.

basically I have 2 - 128G thumb drives and all of the music is separated by their artists, some are direct copies from CD;s I've bought over the years and some are from made CD's I've made and many are from my LP's that were redone in my computers to WAV format and some of the LP's were also put on CD's over the years.

because our vehicles don't have CD players any more we have to use things like thumb drives/USB etc. and some use their iPhone types to listen to their music...my music plays very well and the sound system in my Ultimate which is a bit of an upgraded system in the Ultimate Venues has a great sound to it...it's just the 3 images that show up have me wondering why and if I can change them or get rid of them and if not I can live with it.

Well, I threw together a memory stick with a couple of hundred songs on it and...much to my surprise...I have the same 3 images plus 2 more that seem to be associated with one of the song folders on the USB stick but there are no image files on the thumb drive. My system is the Display Audio Gen2V not the Nav unit. Colour me confused...

Those are default pictures that the vehicle randomly switches them when the mp3 file doesn't have an embedded picture in it. Depends on the place where you have your songs downloaded from or if they have been converted from cd to usb.
If you download them from a place where it embeds the picture in the song file you will see that image on your car's display.

that makes sense and I did notice one of my selections by Jerry Lee Lewis showed it's album cover so I'll have to look fro here on in if there's a place where I can activate the music picture cover...the software I use does download the song titles as I record them.

Windows Media player...has a "Find Album Info" option. Lets you pick album art. Hitting Sync seems to have it updating all album art and info automatically. Not sure it uses a method that will satisfy the Venue media player though.

Images appear on the individual files in VLC, the new Windows Media Player and the old Windows Media Player (used to sync info and art). Haven't tried it in the car yet.

Tried to copy music, after syncing info and art, and nope, same images but I did notice there were a few more images.
