Hi there! My 2022 Venue SEL is now due for its first maintenance schedule. Beside oil/filter changes, what is included in the free maintenance? Is tire rotation included? Thanks in advance.
what happened here is one of the reasons I do my own oil changes...years ago I was doing some work on the phone system at a local garage and the garage had a car up on the hoist to do some work on it and after they lowered the car to remove it from the hoist the young mechanic started the car up and drove it off the hoist and other mechanics started to yell at the rookie to shut the car off...he forgot to put a new oil filter on the car after removing it and changing the oil...things can happen from time to time to anyone...the thing I dread the most at garages is the power torque gun.I changed my oil at 1096 miles and then I scheduled a free oil change at 2300 miles. I noticed an oil leak after the free oil change. They over torqued the oil filter cap and I suspect they didn't change the O ring that comes with the filter. I changed the oil and filter again only 300 miles after the "free maintenance" to repair the leak. Be aware of the sloppy work with this so called free maintenance. This is Hyundai's way of monitoring car maintenance. Make sure you don't exceed the mileage between "free oil changes". They can use the information to deny warranty repairs.
I understand how you feel about having your car serviced by garages or car dealer service. I used to do the oil/filter changes on my vehicles when I was young but now, I'm too old to do those maintenance jobs. I just hope that they do it right. I always get friendly to the service personnel at the dealership and I give them gift cards Christmas time.what happened here is one of the reasons I do my own oil changes...years ago I was doing some work on the phone system at a local garage and the garage had a car up on the hoist to do some work on it and after they lowered the car to remove it from the hoist the young mechanic started the car up and drove it off the hoist and other mechanics started to yell at the rookie to shut the car off...he forgot to put a new oil filter on the car after removing it and changing the oil...things can happen from time to time to anyone...the thing I dread the most at garages is the power torque gun.
