(Anyone who thinks these are drifters and should be lowered need to sober up hahaha)
to get the low feel on my Venue I just lower the seat 🤣.

speaking of seat position my only complaint I have with my Venue is, I wish I could lower my steering wheel a bit more than the lowest position that it is now...I can see why it won't go lower, because the steering wheel would block some of the view of the instrument gauges...the best up and down of the steering wheel adjustment I've ever seen was in a few sport cars, and the instrument section of the dash moved up and down with the steering wheel thus never blocking the view of the instruments, but of course this would add to the expense of the car.

Obviously, it's not a hardcore SUV like a Jeep Wrangler or Land Rover, but it is SUV-like in that it sits higher up than other economy cars like Toyota Corolla, Civic, or full-size sedans, so in areas that get snow the extra ground clearance definitely helps.

Here in NE Ohio under Ontario, the snow piles up, and I can get through stuff regular cars can't. Sure not as well as a CRV AWD, Wrangler, etc., but better than non-SUV vehicles.

It's like a degree of SUV-ness. It is on that spectrum somewhat. It's like a spectrum of beauty, do you look at your GF and realize she's not Scarlet Johannsen on the beauty scale, so you say "well may as well go back to the other end of the scale and marry a hideous woman"? :)

But if you want a sporty small car, then sure lowering it and doing other suspension things will make it sportier.
I like the height the Venue is now and when I first got it, being the kind of guy that does almost any maintenance and repairs on my vehicle, after I got it home it was high enough to lay down on the driveway to have a good look at the underside of my Venue and noticed I had enough room to change the oil and filter without getting the front off the ground but it would have been mostly more of a feel change then a good look change, so I decided I'd have to get the front off the ground since I don't have a pit😁...I was seriously thinking of getting a jeep at one time which would have made oil changes real easy not having to get the front off the ground.

The only thing of the Venue's height is when I polished her I needed a small step stool to do the roof...I'm 6 feet tall and I can still reach all the spots on the roof to wash it, but to polish it, it's a stretch.
