Hello everyone. I just bought a 2021 Venue SEL Premium. Really love it. I had the windows tinted today. Looks great. Does anyone know whether there’ll be an update to get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, even on the navigation models? I’m using Carlinkit 2.0, which takes care of it, but I still have to plug the dongle in the USB port. Thanks.

Congrats! And welcome to the forums! I'm still loving my 2020 Venue SE.

Is that color new? I don't remember a "baby blue" option when I bought my 2020. Looks very nice!

Sorry, can't help you on the upgrades to the navigation software. Hopefully someone else will come along who can answer your questions.

Thank you. The color is Galactic Gray.

Ah, I guess it just looks blue on my screen. I always like gray cars. Nice!

Thank you.
JohnnyZ I think apple carplay is already in the car. I too bought a 21 Venue. it didn't come with built in nav, but I use my phones navigation through apple car play. it shows my maps program on the car's screen. I didn't install anything in the car. And it is wireless. I also play you tube news videos (audio only) and world wide internet news programs through carplay to the car also. You probably just have to look for it.

I do use Apple CarPlay for navigation and music, but I I would also like to have maps and music on the same screen without using Apple CarPlay. It has alluded me so far. I really think that factory navigation is a waste of money. I would have liked a Bose stereo instead.
oh, sorry i didnt understand your question. I too dont like car navagation. I am using Garmin which updates automatically. I have a 18 Nissan titan and wanted to upgrade the nav that is internal. they wanted $165 for the upgrade! why I am using my Garmin.

Really, you are using Apple Carplay in wireless mode? Mine says it has to be plugged in with a USB cable. But mine is a 2020, so maybe they have upgraded already.

I’m using a dongle (Carlinkit 2.0) to get wireless Apple CarPlay. I bought it at Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P18TSC...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
Here is a picture of my car with the dongle in the USB port. It works great.

I am assuming that you are using the Apple CarPlay navigation, e.g. Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. That works best for me too.
yes, I am using Google maps wirelessly from my I phone 11. ChicagoJake, You should ask them if it is just a software update to go wireless? I had to double check last night to make sure it was wireless, and it was.

Excellent. I too have an iPhone 11. I also wonder if navigation equipped Hyundai’s will get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto. Then I won’t need the wireless dongle anymore.
That is peculiar that you have to use a dongle to get Apple CarePlay to work. Are you sure you don't have it already installed? Mine is. But I do not have the built in Nav. There are certain functions that I cannot operate when the car is in gear. I would just double check it when the car is stopped and in neutral. Better yet take it to the dealer and let someone check it out. The salesman initially told me my iPhone had to be plugged in to get carplay to work. but as he was showing me, we found out it connected wirelessly.

I have the factory navigation. All Hyundai’s with the factory navigation don’t have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto. I heard Hyundai is working on a fix, so hopefully it’ll be happening sometime this year.

Thanks; I will definitely check with the dealer when I go in for my next service. Although I'm in the Android ecosystem, not Apple. That might make a difference.
my 22 venue has apple/android and bluelink, I've only had it 2 days, but the maps seem accurate.
