Just noticed this was posted. Can't comment on any differences in the new firmware, because I have not installed yet.

Thanks for the heads up.
The update page appears to be for Wireless Apple Car Play support. The site says the update improves the connection after IOS14 update.

I installed the Canadian version of the update. Took about 10 minutes. Funny the date on the update is 2022-09-27, took a while to push it out the door I guess.
I use Wireless Android Auto, after the update I didn't notice any changes.

Sad really, Nav units should have had wireless CarPlay and Android Auto out of the gate. I wonder if the Nav units are missing the WiFi module needed to do wireless phone projection. If it's missing the required hardware a software fix can't be applied.

General Motors will stop offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
so what's next...what's coming down the road...will all the manufactures do the same...will it be a new technology? 🤷‍♂️

Wow, first I read about this, thanks for the link. Bold but maybe stupid move by GM. It looks like GM has been working with Google for some time now. GM plans to monetize this.
“We do believe there are subscription revenue opportunities for us,” Kummer said. GM Chief Executive Mary Barra is aiming for $20 billion to $25 billion in annual revenue from subscriptions by 2030.

It’s gotta be a hardware issue at this point.
All I know is I got bait and switched after I test drove a very nice blue sel that had wireless.
Somehow the top trim denim did not.
Damn shame too, cause the nav sucks and it’s availability (bluelink) is no different than cell tower CarPlay. I would have gladly traded it for wireless CarPlay.
I would gut the system and go aftermarket, but I’m not risking problems under warranty.
Kinda stuck and it sucks☹
I just did the October 2022 update....

I probably won't do the latest one cause I still have my iPhone 6 so the change for the latest iPhone won't do me any good.
For this firmware version:

Engineering mode password = 26031236
Variant coding password = 23060663

I've never been in there. What are some of the things we can do.

Not much, but I always poke around to see if there's anything new available. I posed the codes in this thread just to document which codes go with this version of the firmware.

I've seen YouTube videos of older Hyundai/Kia firmware, where there's an option in engineering mode to start adb (Android Debug Bridge), and apps can be sideloaded. I mentioned it way back in this thread a few years ago. I think that loophole has been closed for a while, because I never even had it on the original version of the firmware that came on my 2020 Venue.

Class-Action Time! (Lawsuit) :devilish:
I would want a reimbursement if we were promised something that we did not get.
It was just pointed out to me that the downloaded file is actually the fall update file.
They did put up a notification on April 14, 2023, that there is a new update available. I wonder if they mistakenly linked it to the old download page?

I don't think Nav systems were ever promised a wireless Car Play or Android auto update.

Wow, you're right. When you said earlier that the build date was from last fall, I figured that they probably just made some minor changes and neglected to update the date. But I just did a checksum on the enc_d2vsystem_package_134.100.220927.zip file I downloaded this week vs the one I downloaded last year, and they are indeed the exact same file. Kinda sloppy, Hyundai.

I sent Hyundai a message asking if it was an error. I figured it was a good update because my car took it. Thought I did but I guess I didn't do the fall update. That explains why I saw the version numbers change.
According to the "update" site 14420 have at least looked at the update announcement many/most of those will have wasted their time downloading and trying to install the old file posted. I contacted Hyundai, so far no response. Shame on them for wasting so many peoples time.
