Hey, this is my fourth Hyundai, coming from a 2021 Kona SEL to a 2022 Venue SEL in Green Apple.

Love the Venue! Few things though!

For one, my AC was bad off the lot. They said it came without Freeon, so they filled it. 3 days later no air again. They ordered a condenser and that fixed it for around 2 weeks. Now the AC is out again. This is my fourth Hyundai and never a problem before so I just chalk it off as bad luck.

I don't have push button start, and want it back. I dream of remote start. Also a way to roll down the windows by the key fob would be great. Is there any way to upgrade?

I want Qi charging, anyway to add it?

Any tips for better fuel economy?

Can I pop the silver trim to vinyl wrap?

Any tempered glass screen protector for the 2022 SEL?

Can I get an auto dimming rear view mirror?

Mud flaps worth?

Can I get the switches for the blank slots below the drive mode dial? Preferably the ones that go to the Limited heated seats? I plan to add heated seats before winter but don't want an ugly switch installed, want it to look OEM.

I notice the interior plastic scratches much easier than previous cars. Any suggestions or arm rest upgrades?

Any thing a must have, or must do? Settings I should change?

Thanks all!!!

Fuel Economy: stick to the OEM low resistance eco tires. The Venue is basically an Accent on stilts with a SUV body. Driving habits, if you're heavy footed, good luck with getting city rated MPG. Highway MPG exceeds what's listed. If you plan on upgrading tires to Michelin or anything with better grip, it'll plant the rear end at higher speeds. The trade off is lower MPG due to stickiness of the tire compound.

Tempered glass screen protector is available on amazon for the touchscreen unit.

Getting switches for the heated seats is probably doable, but may require the entire shift surround as well, as the blanks aren't individual covers, if I remember correctly. Plus you'll need the heating element, wiring, etc. but that's another story.

Silver trim...are you referring to the interior?
If so, the steering wheel, you can remove the airbag, remove the wheel to wrap the silver bits. The rest of other bits, like AC trim, headunit surround, might be able to pry off with tabs. I chose to do the overlay method instead of removing the individual trim pieces.

Mudflaps/Mudguard:
If you're sticking to OEM wheels then they do help catch rock kickup. If you're going aftermarket, I highly suggest the Rally Armor set, they make an "OEM" set for the Venue, pricey, but catches everything. I have pictures posted in the modification area of the forums.

Qi Charging:
If you can find someone to import the OEM one from India/Australia/Canada, its clean and seamless OEM. Or you can add your own that fits in the phone holder area above the shifter.

Remote Start:
Viper, or any aftermarket solution would be the only way I believe.

I have an average at the moment of 31.5MPG, but I see others getting high 30s, and even 40s, is there a hybrid version I am unaware of? I tend to always get the high end of MPG of my cars.

I can't find any Screen Protectors that list 2022 model year, and the ones that look similar all have reviews saying that it didn't fit their screen.

I already know what heater/wiring I will use, but can't find the switches anywhere. I know the Limited has heated seats so I know the cluster exists at least. Maybe in time, It will show up?

Yea, around the air vents, gear shifter, steering wheel, and handles.

I don't plan to swap wheels or tires, but if the OEM flaps do catch stuff I will likely grab them.

So the OEM one works with the SEL? I was told that the OEM requires the BCM to have the harness, which the SEL BCM supposedly doesn't have.

So no aftermarket that uses the original Keyfob? Bummer.

The screen protectors are all the same, there wasn't any overhauls on the interior. 2022 they consolidated the lines and added 2-tone exterior options. There's rumors that 2023 there might be a facelift, but only time will tell

I will give it a try, it looked the same, but many reviews claimed otherwise. Thanks!

First "mod", wanting to know how this vinyl does in the heat, if it holds well I will go back and use a heat gun to get the edges better.

If your AC fails again, try to lemon law it so the dealer will buy it back.
Then upgrade to the top trim so you can get the remote start and heated seats.
Honestly, if you do upgrades to the car rather than get the factory options, you are going to spend more.
You can even buy a 2020 to 2021 top trim because they are all practically the same.

I got the 22 for a good deal since I traded in my 21 Kona and they had a buyer that had really wanted a Kona in the color I happened to have. A reason I went from Kona to Venue was to reduce my monthly payment, and getting the higher Trim would end up costing more.

Lemon law came up in conversation today, and it's likely the route I will go if it happens again. Will need to write a letter and send it, etc to start that process. I had to wait 3 weeks to get the Venue I did get :(

Ordering these items, particularly the center console organizer is the best advise I can offer.
Vinyl usually has a shelf life of about 4 to 5 years if it is applied correctly and is good quality. Congrats on your purchase.

Hopefully, they will get your AC working. There are only so many parts to an AC system; you'd think they would've gotten it to work already. Bummer. Mine works beautifully.

Another must-have (and super cheap) mod is the armrest storage container tray. It sits atop and holds smaller items so you don't have to fish around in the large armrest bin for small stuff. I keep my multi-tool, digital PSI gauge, gum, pen, money, etc. in mine.

Look on Amazon, eBay, or Ali Express. I think I paid $10 with free shipping.

Yea it's crazy, have a rental at the moment.

I use the center arm rest to store some cleaning stuff, but I am going to print a qi charger holder for the compartment under the AC controls.

Bought a screen protector and clear door protects that I got today... Lol

I just really want to find the, drive mode dial cluster with the heated seat switches now. Only found the one I have on eBay for 50.

I'll be buying a viper system for the keyless entry.

Likely get the mud flaps too.

I have now installed a trailer hitch for a cargo rack, I had remote start installed, and I modded the center cubby to have wireless charging. I also painted the interior silver trim pieces black. I intend to paint the calipers soon.

Was the size the correct one? What year is your Venue?
