Parking lights?

Has anyone used their parking lights (Amber lights on top of headlights) as an additional headlight? Like can you upgrade the bulb to help with visability? I realize this may be a legal concern state by state just thought I would ask.

Those amber light housing are meant to shoot light in all directions and not directed. If you were to swap them out to switchback LEDs where they have a white and yellow function, the light would be blinding in all direction, and not directed forward like a headlight projector.

Doh.. Thank you for the info.. Glad I didn't try it.. DIdn't want to be blinding to other drivers just more visability for me.
