About 2 weeks ago, I took the Venue in for the seat belt warranty fix and an oil change (I get them at 5,000 mile intervals and not the 8,000 they recommend).

Today I get a coupon flyer saying "your vehicle missed out on these recommended services. Please contact us immediately to take care of these recommended services to keep your vehicle in great condition":

coupon 1
FREE SHUTTLE TO YOUR WORK/HOME/LOCAL SHOPPING

coupon 2
10% OFF ANY REPAIR

It's just a software glitch obviously.

or a money grab glitch...because I keep my cars for 20+ years is why the only time I take my vehicles to a garage is when the repair job is too big for me to do myself as well as not having the proper tools to do the repair and of course to do warranty work...an oil change at a garage could cost much more then just an oil change, things like topping up the windshield washer bottle, new wiper blades, air filter and cabin filter, top up brake fluid, and if you use nitrogen for your tires, you might get charged for that as well, and you might get the "looks like the next service we should a brake job and looks like the tread wear is going down you'll need tires soon", and with the newer vehicles there's usually a charge to hook up their OBD2 scanner up to your vehicle.

Not saying every garage is like this, but those mechanics need to be paid...of course not everyone like myself is able to know when things need to be replaced or repaired so if you find a honest garage and they're up front with you then they know you'll be back for other services, then you're all set.

Do you have the included maintenance? If so a computer flag may have been thrown when that schedule was missed, even though you are exceeding the recommended oil change interval. The maintenance schedule can include checks/maintenance beyond an oil change. Keep your service records Justin case. :D

Yep it came with free maintenance for 36 months. I’m turning it back in when lease is up in 1.5 years. Whoever buys it is getting a well maintained Venue.

I would keep it, but we need something a little larger. Probably will go for a Santa Cruz. If the Venue were maybe 20 percent larger but same styling, I’d keep it as I love the styling.

I own a 2021 SEL with 5,000 miles. I had the first oil changed a 3,000 mikes so I have 2,000 miles on my current oil. I received a message on MyHyundai that my Venue was past due for service and I should schedule a service appointment immediately. Somehow, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing! Don't lose any sleep over it!
