Pretensioner recall...

533 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  imaddicted2u
After being told a few times by the dealer that I have to wait for the notice letter from Hyundai before they could get parts and book the appointment for the R0220 seat belt pre-tensioner recall. Today, Hyundai sent me a "SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (REMINDER) letter from Hyundai saying "Our records indicate you haven't taken action for this important safety recall". I tried Hyundai, I tried, LOL.

What year of the Venue had this problem?
2020-2022
You can always check for recalls here...
They took care of mine last Fall. Nothing has blown up yet!

Now I just have to make an appointment to get the anti-theft modification. They have notified me about that several times, too.

I like my Venue a lot, really I do, but I drove Toyotas for thirty years and never had a single recall. Just sayin'.....

Sadly, even Toyota has recalls. Most cars are assembled from parts made by 3rd party manufacturers and those parts are shared by other car brands. The pretensioner on recall in the Venue is made by a company that also makes them for General Motors.
Here is a list of Toyota recalls in Canada, recalls in Canada are usually prompted by NHSTA recalls in USA.
