Hello from Tallahassee! We got our SEL yesterday, and we LOVE it. To afford new car payments, we had to get a pretty base model, but the "base model" of these is still very nice. No plans for modifications, except a trailer hitch some day. We plan to have it a very long time. (My first post)

Welcome aboard! Nice looking vehicle. Love the deep blue color.

I have the truly base model SE, and even it has more bells and whistles than I'm likely to ever use.

After someone ran a light and totaled my wife's Civic, we found a good deal on a 2014 Escape. That was last November. At first, I really liked it, but over time, I had a growing list of "little" things that I didn't like about the Escape. As you know, a lot of little things can add up to "I can't get no satisfaction". And then recently we learned why it was such a good deal - it was full of rust underneath - and one of the ABS sensors started causing problems. Anyway, to my great surprise, my wife said we've got to get a new car. So after a bunch of research on the least expensive compact SUV's, we finally decided on a Hyundai Venue.
I'm 6'-0" and over 250 lbs, and yet I'm comfortable, with plenty of head & leg room.

I feel your pain. I owned a Ford once. Once.

It's surprisingly roomy for such a small package. Unless it's a F-150, Ford's are so hit and miss for reliability.
I created a facebook Group for Venue owners in the Tallahassee area... Here's the link.
