Suddenly my 2020 has become much louder

So I've noticed in the last few weeks my venue has got kind of throaty. It's kind of loud and it just doesn't sound like it should. Has anyone else experienced this because it used to be a really quiet car

has your catalytic converter still there...up here in Canada and maybe it's the same in the US, but thieves are cutting them off for the components inside the converters.🤷‍♂️
If you can, have a look underneath to see if any exhaust pipes or parts may be hanging. Other than that maybe swing by the dealer and ask them to have a listen and check it out. Hopefully your Catalytic converter is still there...

Make sure the top of the air filter box is in place and latched. My Toyota sounding loud not long after the stealership serviced it, and I found the lid to the airbox loose. Probably mad I declined their $75 charge to change the filter.

This was it. I was checking to make sure my Catalytic converter was still there and noticed The muffler is no longer connected. I

Is this something I can fix easily I wonder. I can't get an appointment till June the 6th at the dealer. I don't think anything will be harmed driving it this way

Yes I checked and it's there but the muffler is no longer connected to the pipe toward the rear. Just some clamps came loose

Weird, it looks like it separated from the flange on the muffler side. The weld broke, the flanges are still together.

This is what it should look like...it could probably be welded back together by a muffler shop but it likely should be covered by the dealer under warranty.

you say it might be covered under warranty, what year is your Venue and if it's a few years old, and are you the original owner, and is it still original factory exhaust...if it is still under warranty you should be able to get it fixed at any garage or muffler shop and keep the bill to give to the dealership, this is a safety issue, having a leaky exhaust.
@venue1947 is right, this is a safety issue.
USA warranty info can be found here:

what year is the vehicle and if it's not new, is it original owner...the reason why I ask, has it been worked on by someone other then factory parts, has it been damaged...hard to believe it came like this out of the factory...for a long time factory exhaust are like being a one piece part, no clamps on pipes and mufflers, all welded...I've put headers on cars that are only weeks and months old, and as well other exhaust parts, and by doing so dealers will not honor warranties on after market stuff...no matter what it should be an easy repair with the right tools and parts.
@venue1947 the exhaust came that way from the factory the pics of the flanges together and bubblegum welding are from my Venue and it has had no exhaust work, look under yours, it's the same.
The repair needs either a new muffler with the flange attached or the existing flange can be taken apart and welded back on to the muffler pipe, then reassembled.

Correct. Took it to a local shop and they welded it back. 50 bucks and I am all good

Awesome, maybe Hyundai will reimburse you if it's under warranty. But job done!

Nice ending to the story. My first thought was that you had rolled over something, and the dealer would give you grief. Even if he honored the warranty, you wouldn't want that on your Hyundai record.

With this instance, as well as someone else's photo of a questionable weld, it kinda looks like there might be issues with their welding? Hopefully this was just a one-off, and not something to keep an eye on.
