Three weeks in a Venue

Almost 500 miles and fine. Only disappointment is lack of seat heating in the mid level trim. I have yet to see another on the road in my New York suburb. My fourth Hyundai since 2007, certainly the cutest and the most fun to drive. The car reminds me of all the little cars I rented in England during th 90s, but with Hyundai quality. Everything is good, but the handling and economy are sensational. Lots of country style roads near me and the car is just perfect on them. I think its road feel is superior to my previous #1,Tl a 1990 Civic DX. The economy is outstanding, with 45mpg attainable with a bit of restraint.
The Venue is a specialized vehicle, either a Manhattan denizen or a second, fun, car for the Old and the Restless. I am waiting for the grandkids to graduate to boosters, no way I could put car seats in the back. If you love to make quick starts from a light, you should wait for the N version. A mild turbo on the 1.6 should do it.
I guess I do feel lonely, haven't seen another on the road. When I do, I shall merrily flash my beams in recognition.

Welcome to the board! I share your disappointment at how few other Venues I see on the road. However, living in the heart of a big city, I have seen a few others, but fewer than I expected. In two years of owning my Venue, I've seen about a dozen others on the road. At least it is better than being as trite as a Kia Soul! You can't swing a dead cat without hitting one of those.
The Venue is definitely an urban city car.

I am thinking of buying a used camaro, miata, or tacoma for my occasional non-city car days.

It was sort of like that when I got my Mazda Wagon, back in the day. You enjoy the exclusivity, but kind of wonder where they are. At least I have a dealer almost within walking distance. And it's real easy to find in a parking lot, just look for a blue dot in an apparently empty spot.

Those are three very different vehicles! I recommend you get one of each, so you can select the most appropriate one for each outing.

I could have used my hyundai venue money to buy all 3 used. lol

I work like 6-7 times a week so they would probably just sit on the driveway. 😭

I would love a Miata for fun on the side, but the used market prices are insane right now! I wish the Tacoma were smaller like the older box-shaped styles (80-90's)
