I don't know why I assumed in the States, but it's being built in Korea and will travel to Vancouver before hopping a train to me in the prairies. Sales guy called a few weeks ago to tell me it might be finished by end of November. We shall see...

Here’s a video of their factory in South Korea. I guess they make their larger vehicles in the USA. A friend ordered a Chevy Spark last year and was surprised to learn it was made in Korea I guess by the old Daewoo plant.

What trim and color did you order?

I'm glad some humans showed up in this video. No offence yellow robots - good job! I orderd the two tone denim Preferred, the second level trim in Canada because it includes a remote starter, snow mode and heated stearing wheel. My Echo has very few perks, but it did have an after market remote starter - didn't want to do without. I've seen some nice pictures of a two tone internior, but not an option here it seems

The paperwork that came with my 2020 Venue stated that it was built in Korea. I think they have a European/Indian plant as well, but the North American models probably all come from Korea.

Yes, my wife had a 2013 Chevy Spark for a number of years. It was made by Daewoo, after Chevrolet acquired them. I liked that she and I both drove Korean-made cars, until she traded it in on a Chevy Trax earlier this year. I don't know where they are made. I just know that, having worked for GM, I would never be caught dead owing one of their cars!

Trax and the Buick Encore variant are both made in South Korea by GM Korea which is what Daewoo became.

Daewoos must have been decent cars. I owned one for a few months bought off a neighbor for cheap. It had 150k miles and their daughter was super hard on it.

I'm an engineering professor, specializing in manufacturing technology. I've known (and taught) many Korean engineers, and they are among the best in the world. I am perfectly happy buying cars designed and manufactured there.
