I would like to tint the sunroof to get some extra light without my skin getting burned to a crisp.
I believe the sunroof has a factory tint, but it is very light/weak.
Maybe get a colored purple/blue tint for style or whatever.

Any thoughts?
Good/Bad Idea?
Will my sunroof crack?

Everyone calls them “sunroofs”.
I call them “moonroofs” because at night is the only time you can enjoy them.
I will never buy another car with one and if I was Ralph, I would put the darkest tint available on it to save my head from the nuclear fallout that is the sun.
I love my gadgets, but with a moonroof less is more imo.

I've had many cars with "sunroofs" and rarely used them so opted for a Venue model that came without one.

Roger that.
I think I am going with the darkest tint.
Brown to match my interior if any tint installer carries it.

Asked around for quotations about the colored tints.
Most (All) of them do not carry it.
They would need to special order, and they quoted me like $200 just to tint the sunroof.

I guess I'm going the DIY route.
Hopefully, no regrets. 😭

I had one once. Once. That was enough.
I take it back. I had two.

On my 1983 Toyota Tercel, I had an after-market sun roof installed. It was the kind that you could remove, or could pop up with a hinge on the front edge. It was well tinted. On my 1990 Honda Civic Si, I had a factory original moon-roof, which retracted with a power switch, and also had an opaque shade that you could slide to completely cover the glass.

Neither of them were particularly useful, and I've never wanted any such thing again.

I got it tinted for a fair price. I am very satisfied.

The front passenger window is 30% black.
The rear passenger window is 15% black.
The sunroof is 5% brown tint.
