Two questions. Lee conversion or led bulbs

I have a 22 SEL model. How hard is it to replace the standard headlight lends to the led models? The ones with the white ring around them?

Second question the orange turn signals on the front has anyone found a cool white bulb to replace those? I read somewhere the it’s a dual filament bulb which wouldn’t make sense because the bulb is only used for a turn signal flash not a parking lamp. Thiughts?

I don't have an answer for you but as far as the orange turn signal bulb, to be on the safe side check to see if it's legal to change the orange to white because there may be a safety regulation where you live that it has to be orange...best of luck that you find an answer and an easy to make the changes you would like to do.

  • I changed the side markers to white led and haven’t been stopped although I may turn them back to orange to keep it uniform. I believe the rear ones are the same as the front. I would like to convert the reverse lamps as well but from what I’ve seen the reverse lamps are a pia to get to.

I bought a 22 limited because I wanted led lights . And I added sun roof .
I wish they gave more options at the time of purchase. I hate my colored denim.
wanted all white . .was told they couldn’t switch out standard headlight for the LED also wanted my turn signals to show in side mirrors. The little eye drop on front fenders is a joke.

I'm wondering about LEDs for the cornering lights and the backup lights. on our U.S. limited model, they are conventional bulbs, and pretty pathetic as far was lighting.

Something someone might start, is a bulb spreadsheet, with photos, for each country / model. I did this on my Yaris so I could have a quick reference on my phone when I needed a bulb.

something I just thought of after washing my Venue...do LEDs on the Venue or any other vehicle have a different lens cover compared to the regular bulbs lens to control the spread of the light...so if you were to change regular bulbs to LEDs do you get the same light spread as Venues that have LEDs from the factory and the reason I question this because of all the different headlight shapes and lens covers that are out there now and I'd think they are made for LED type of light spread.

Isn't the "LED" version of the venue just the square around the lens? Atleast thats what It hought it was.. Maybe Im wrong on that.

yes the outer lens part is...I guess I really didn't name it right...I should have said the piece that the bulb goes into...with the LEDs the light has a flat line type of light and usually as well another line at the end of the flat line besides of projecting the light on the road etc...now maybe if the regular bulb is replaced with an LED the whole fixture is replaced not just the bulb...because I've never done a replacement I really don't know how much has to be replaced and I guess the cost of replacing the headlights depends on how much has to be changed...to replace the Venue it looks like it should be a fairly easy job to do unless there's more to do it then how it looks...when looking at other vehicles some have some really different shapes that are far from traditional shaped headlights.

possibly the way to go is get the Hyundai dealership to do it because they already have the stuff needed instead of getting after market equipment that may need more work...sorry if I misguided you...best of luck on what you decide to do.

I can tell you on the U.S. Limited model, the headlights and the daytime running lights are both LED. The headlights are very bright, and give you plenty of visibility. It appears the only "bulbs" on the car are the cornering lamps, and IIRC, the backup lights.
